Our one annual programme since the club began: a 10 km run from Bhuj to the Vande Mataram Memorial at Bhujodi, on Republic Day.
Why 26 January
A run for the Republic and for Kutch
26 January is Republic Day. It is also the anniversary of the 2001 earthquake, which struck Kutch at 8:46 that morning and took about 20,000 lives.
The run ends at the Vande Mataram Memorial at Bhujodi, a museum of India's freedom struggle. It is our way of celebrating the nation while remembering the people of Kutch. The run is held with the support of the Aashapura Foundation.
