General

Anyone who wants to run, whatever their age, pace or experience. Many of our marathoners started with a few kilometres of walking and running. Runners under 18 join with a parent or guardian's consent.

No. We run in pace groups and walk breaks are normal. Start with an easy run or Monthly Miles and build up from there. Read Your first run before you come.

Group runs

Every run is listed on the run calendar with its start point, a map link, the start time and the distances on offer. Most runs start early in the morning, before the heat.

Yes, but carefully. From March to June we start before sunrise, keep distances shorter and carry water. The best running season in Kutch is November to February.

Running shoes, light clothes, water, a cap once the sun is up, something reflective in the dark, and your phone with an emergency contact.

Membership

Yes. Come and try a few group runs first. Regular runners are then asked to become members, which supports the club's runs and events.

The current plans, fees and benefits are listed on the Membership page. You can join and pay online.

Events & races

The Vande Mataram Memorial 10K is held every 26 January. Registration details are published on that page and on our Instagram before each edition.

We are planning a recognised marathon near Bhuj. Follow us on Instagram and subscribe to the newsletter to hear first.

Health & safety

Please speak to your doctor before you start, especially with a heart condition, high blood pressure, diabetes or during pregnancy. Run within your limits and tell the run leader if you feel unwell.

Yes. Respect and safety are part of our code of conduct, with zero tolerance for harassment. Run leaders keep the groups together and nobody is left behind.
